With week 1 over and done with, we see the second round fast approaching us. After seeing most predictions turn out correct on de_dust2, it will be even harder to say what will happen this week on de_nuke. However, this week will see the first teams confirmed in the knock-out stage, which will surely bring the best out of all teams.




Group 1

iR. vs. Fate

After losing to DFA, iR will want to keep their hopes of a knockout place alive by beating the favourites Fate, which is easier said than done. Fate had a poor match last week but still managed to get a victory, and aslong as they perform well this week, this fixture shouldn’t trouble them too much.

My prediction is Fate 16 – 10 iR


Epidemic vs. DFA

An impressive victory over iR leaves DFA in with a good chance of a knockout place, but they face a brick wall in the way of Epidemic. With an inspired fight against Fate, Epidemic will be going into this match on a high and will surely look to continue their good run.

My prediction is Epidemic 10 – 16 DFA


Group 2

Syn vs. [tdm]

[tdm] are yet to play in this cup after defaulting their last game against Narchad. Syn were on the end a 16-3 bashing from afraidG who seemed to dominate throughout the game. I believe however, that Syn will have re-grouped after that match and will come back strong.

My prediction is Syn 16 – 8 [tdm]


NarChaD vs. afraidG

The battle of the Group 2 titans. Narchad come off the back of a default win but with their experience will not have been put off by it. AfraidG will be high off a well played match last week and will be looking to continue that run of good form. However, I think this test will be too tough for them to overcome.

My prediction is Narchad 16 – 10 AfraidG



Group 3

Eleventh vs. GT!

This should be a simple outing for eleventh as long as they can field 5 players. GT! don’t really look like standing a chance, after being thrashed 16-0 by FF$ last week. I think the same score-line may not be far off this week aswell.

My prediction is eleventh 16 – 1 GT!


FF$ vs. [TTK]

Another fixture that would appear to go the same as last week. FF$ showed that they are in this for the long-run by defeating GT! 16-0. [TTK] will be hoping they can cause a major upset but I cannot see this happening.

My prediction is FF$ 16 – 10 [TTK]


Group 4

Som. vs. xSect.8x

Som took an impressive win last week hardly dropping any rounds and are now expected to progress into the knock-out stage. xSect.8x put up a good fight against corruption last week, narrowly missing out on taking something out of the match. This should be an interesting game to watch.

My prediction is som. 16 – 8 xSect.8x


Corruption vs. -=ES=-

Corruption are rivals to som in this group, and if they win this match, should hold their place in the knock-outs. -=ES=- were not very convincing in their last match, and the result this week will probably go the same way.

My prediction is Corruption.css 16 – 4 -=ES =-
